AIMS:

To develop the concept of a career-long and career-wide developmental e-portfolio;

To ensure that software systems used will meet users' different appraisal needs at each career stage; 

To help meet the needs of the relevant authorities at each career stage for assessment and accreditation;

To ensure that the Te-P will enable and support Professional Development Planning, by building upon the spine of the NI Teaching Competences;

To understand what steps the support agents need to take to facilitate the development of the Te-PNI at each career stage;

The Project had also been tasked to  develop a common specification (based on agreed international interoperability standards) for the underpinning e-portfolio which enables the teacher to retain and sustain their own PDP throughout their career  regardless of the software product they are using.
